Miss Charlotte
Singing and piano teacher
Charlotte is an experienced teacher of singing and piano with over a decade of teaching experience. She holds both a first class BA (Hons) and MA Music degree from the University of Nottingham, along with several ABRSM and LCM diploma and Grade 8 qualifications in piano, flute and musical theatre performance. Charlotte also holds Estill Voice Training Level 1&2 and is soon to complete her training to become a certified Vocal Health First Aider. She is a member of the BVA (British Voice Association) and AOTOS (Association of Teachers of Singing).
Vocally, Charlotte specialises in coaching musical theatre and contemporary vocal technique and interpretation, preparing students for auditions, performances and LCM graded examinations. She also teaches piano at all levels from beginner to grade 8.
When Charlotte isn’t teaching 1:1 she is heavily involved in many community music activities. She is musical director for Derby Youth Musical Theatre where she has led award-winning shows such as “Legally Blonde” and “Barnum” at Derby Theatre. She regularly MDs and plays keyboards for a variety of community theatre groups across the East Midlands, and she is also Vocal Coach at contemporary singing group VoxFresh Derby.
